Dominic Thiem of Austria has advanced to the final match of the ATP finals after defeating defending champion Alexander Zverev of Germany two sets to love at the O2 Arena in London.

It was a close contest from the beginning, but the Austrian got the upper hand and won the opening set 7-5. Thiem kept the momentum and took the second set 6-3 to wrap up the match in one hour and 35 minutes to set up a final showdown against Stefanos Tsitsipas on Sunday.

That's while, Stefanos Tsitsipas himself reached the last match of the ATPfinals in his tournament debut, after upsetting six-time champion Roger Federer 6-3 and 6-4 in London.

Tsitsipas got off to a strong start at the O2 arena, breaking Federer in the second game, but he was forced to dig deep to see out the set in a dramatic 13-minute final game.

The Greek played with confidence against the 20-time Grand Slam champion in the second set, wrapping up the match with a thunderous ace.
